LOOSE TALK SHOW
SYC organized a famous talk show on Sunday,17th August, 2008 at 1800 Hrs. in Marriot Hotel titled “LOOSE TALK” which was directed and performed by the great personalities of Mr. Anwar Maqsood and Mr. Moin Akhtar. The Program was not only sarcastically humorous, it communicated a strong message to those who could be instrumental in achieving our objective of providing proper accessibilities for the Physically Challenged People. We brought together top architects, builders, industrialist and high profile government officials.
Before presenting the famous “LOOSE TALK” show, SYC members participated in the group discussions and highlighted the issue with emphasis that this important aspect of society is not even raised in the literary circle.
The group comprised of young and enthusiastic members and communicated the message to the audience with zeal and showed that our young generation is very keen to bring positive change in our society.
Videos were shown highlighting the abilities of differently abled people, obstacles faced by them and the overall infrastructure of Karachi.
We were honored to have Mr Mustafa Kamal, City Nazim Karachi as our chief guest. His presence was a great inspiration for us as he is a dynamic man and has change the road map of Karachi in a short span of three years. He acknowledged that although he is deeply involved in improving the infrastructure of Karachi, he did not realize about the difficulties being faced by wheelchair bound people. He gave a very strong speech and assured the audience to implement the proposals presented by SYC.
The chief guest finally distributed the certificates to the wheel chair friendly places which were selected by SYC. This was done to appreciate and encourage the outlets and organizations which are taking care of special people.
